Red meat: hides risks

Red meat is ranked first in our diet and is essential for healthy growth. It has high nutritional value, as it contains protein, iron and vitamin B12, obtained only from animal products.
"Red meat" are pork, beef, lamb and goat, while the "white meat"classified chicken, turkey, rabbit, etc..
Before 40 years, meat consumption was about 35 grams a day,while today we have come to consume more than 150 grams daily.
Scientific studies have linked excessive consumption of red meat with colon cancer and possibly other cancers as well as coronary heart disease.
Furthermore, red meat contains high amounts of cholesterol, and we must ensure that consumption does not exceed 70 grams per day.
